Obituary for
Lois Ann Soileau (Burke)
Lois Ann Soileau, 65, a resident of Lake Charles, died peacefully in Houston on August 15, 2014. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 20, 1948 to Warren G. Burke and Vedia Broussard Burke.
Her family and friends will remember Lois for her cooking, baking, accommodating nature, and her fierce loyalty to others. Lois was adventurous and was always up for a challenge. She was the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. Mrs. Soileau’s willingness to help those in need and unconditional love of others is a reflection of the way Christ calls us to live.
Lois is predeceased by her father Warren G. Burke.
Mrs. Soileau leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memory; her loving husband of 47 years Jimmy Soileau, two sons; Aaron Soileau and wife Brooke of Lake Charles, and Paul Soileau and wife Recie of Ragley, her mother Vedia Burke, four brothers; Butch Burke of Port Arthur, Mike Burke of Lawrence, Kansas, Troy Burke of Groves, and Todd Burke of Beaumont, one sister, Tammy Graham of Beaumont, eight grandchildren; Abigail, Nate, Hannah, Seth, Lydia, Van, Esther, Ash, her mother and father in-law Dorothy and Ulysee Soileau, sister in-law, Peggy Sue LeBlanc, and brother in-law Douglas Soileau.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home and again on Thursday at Bethel Presbyterian Church from 10 AM until time of service.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Bethel Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM. Rev. Steven Wright will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
