Loma Jean Borders (Alexander)
Loma Jean Alexander Borders, 91, a native of Kentucky and longtime resident of Westlake, LA passed from this life onto her enteral reward on January 9, 2017 surrounded by those she loved.
Mrs. Borders was a loving mother and grandmother. She possessed a strong faith and love for her Lord. She will be long remembered for her cooking, sewing, and singing.
She is predeceased by her parents Carl and Letha Thomas Alexander, husband, Shermon Borders, brother, Edmond Alexander, and sisters, Mary Thomas, Ida Brooks Morton, and Sue Alexander.
Loma leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Carl Roger Howard and wife Lynn of Conroe, TX and Michael Anthony Howard and wife Wanda of Westlake, LA , five grandchildren: Candy Coburn and husband Mark, Michele Carpenter and husband Anthony, Chantelle Becking and husband Eric, Hollie Howard and husband Heath Dorsey, and Colyn Howard and eight great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Rev. John Hoffpauir is to officiate. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Robeline, LA.
