Jeffery James Bertrand Sr., 62, a resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on January 13, 2016.

Jeff will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He lived life on the edge with hotrodding, rooster fighting, and with an open heart for all.

He is predeceased by his parents Jake Bertrand and Mimie LeBlanc Bertrand, five brothers, and eight sisters.


He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 35 years, Barbara Foreman Bertrand, sons; Johnny White, and Jeffery J. Bertrand Jr. and wife Maureen, daughters; Becky Benoit and husband Jeff, Regina Geto and husband Randal, and Feliza Matte and husband Emitt, sisters; Rena Lavoy and Veronica Miller and husband Charles, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 1 PM until 9 PM and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Friday.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Joseph Authement is to officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
