Charles Walker Phillips, Jr. passed peacefully from this life on January 19, 2015 after a brief illness. Mr. Phillips was born on June 24, 1954 to Charles Walker Phillips Sr. and Joetta Lamm Phillips of Swansboro, North Carolina.

Family and friends from Swansboro called him Phil. Phil was an athlete growing up, hardworking, dependable, and highly respected by the community. His youngest son describes him as a loving, easy going man, who made sacrifices to provide for his family the best he could. He was a motivator and in his words, "The greatest man his sons knew and will ever know." He will be greatly missed by his children who loved him, and not forgotten. May he finally be at peace.

Phil is predeceased by his parents and wife Lorie

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his four sons; Christopher Phillips, Craig Phillips and Jeriah Phillips, and Derek Chandler, his siblings; Mike Phillips, Penny Phillips Peele, Kevin Phillips and Major Phillips, and host of friends he has made over the years.

Mr. Phillips' cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA.
