Obituary for Mary Elizibeth Rogers (Streams)

Mary Elizebeth Rogers, formerly Mary Elizebeth Stream, 80, of Oretta, died peacefully in her home on September 2, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Affectionately known and Mama Mary, Mary was a faithful and devoted servant of God. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Mary will be remembered for her generous and giving nature. She was a gracious host and loved cooking Sunday dinner for her family and anyone who walked through the door.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, brother, Charles Streams Jr., sister Olivia Streams Holmes, daughters Celestine Dunham and Barbara Biddle, three grand daughters, and two great grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Mary Leona Shabino and husband Daryl, George W. Hyatt Sr., Jessie Wayne Rogers and companion Mary Carville, Emmy Hydle and husband Tennie, Charles Rogers Sr. and wife Carla, Ida Duhnam and husband Bobby, and Robert Clayton Rogers, one brother Thomas Streams, one sister Drew Barrow, thirty two grandchildren, sixty eight great grand children, and nineteen great great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 PM to 10 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Oretta Pentecostal Church. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 8 AM until time of service.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11 AM in the sanctuary of the Oretta Pentecostal Church. Brother Samuel Ashworth is to officiate. Burial will follow in the Oretta Cemetery.
